Shawn Freeman

Volunteer’s Bio

Shawn retired as a lieutenant in law enforcement after 28 years of service. During his career, Shawn worked in investigations as a supervisor overseeing all felony crimes (including Financial/Economic Crimes, Domestic Violence) involving adults and juveniles. Shawn has taught in-service police officers regarding personal financial planning/health. Shawn volunteered his time during his career as fiduciary with a medical benefit trust board overseeing finances for the trust.

Shawn has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Family and Consumer Sciences – Personal Financial Planning from Long Beach State University, and a Master’s Degree from Long Beach State University in Family and Consumer Sciences- Personal Financial Planning. Shawn has a passion for teaching and helping others about personal financial planning.
