Volunteer’s Bio
Harriet Johnson Brackey, CFP®, Vice President and Portfolio Manager.
As a portfolio manager, Harriet works with individuals and non-profits, creating customized investment strategies to achieve clients’ goals. She also provides financial planning to address issues of wealth accumulation, college funding, retirement income and estate planning. Harriet became a financial planner in 2011, after an extensive career in the financial media as a reporter and columnist covering covered markets and investments for Business Week magazine, USA Today, Nightly Business Report on PBS, the Miami Herald and the Sun-Sentinel. She graduated from The American University in Washington, D.C., with a Master of Arts in Communications and Public Affairs. Harriet received her bachelor’s degree with honors in American Studies from the University of Oregon. She is a Certified Financial Planner and holds the Series 65 license. She is the past president of the Financial Planning Association of Louisiana.
