Savvy Ladies Volunteers

Antonio Lugo, CFP® CRPC™

Volunteer’s Bio

I believe that money is never just math—it’s emotion, identity, and lived experience.

My core philosophy is that most people don’t make “bad” financial decisions; they make the best decisions they can with the information, stress, and circumstances they have in the moment.

My work is grounded in compassion, clarity, and empowerment. I help women untangle financial overwhelm, rebuild confidence, and make choices that align with their values and long‑term goals. My approach blends the human side of money with practical strategy, creating a judgment‑free space where you can feel heard, supported, and capable of taking the next step.
I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™, and founder of Smart Wealth Strategies, Inc.
I bring deep expertise in retirement planning, investment strategy, tax‑efficient wealth building, and financial decision‑making during major life transitions.
I serve nationally as a CFP® Pro Bono Advisor and have contributed to the profession as a CFP Board Scholarship Review Panel Member. I have also served as a mentor with the Financial Planning Association of Illinois and Loyola University Chicago, youth financial education through the Big Shoulders Fund, and community service as a board member for Healthcare Alternative Systems.
