Over the years, I have worked in several different companies and have at least 3 different 401(k) plans with each company I have worked for and it is getting really hard to keep track of each. Any suggestions?

Multi-Plans Maggie

Dear Multi-Plans Maggie,

Consolidate your 401(k) plans by transferring each of them into respective IRA rollover accounts. Direct transfers which cause a change of custodian are permitted once per year without any tax consequences. This should enable you to manage them and align your investment objectives by viewing them as single plans.
